Water as a conduit, as a means of communication, has been a recurrent theme in Jane Boyd’s work.  This series of drawings and photographs, Wet Suite, was begun in Amsterdam in 2004 and completed in London in 2008.  It consists of twelve images which explores notions of movement and aftermath or hiatus in spaces between randomly occurring objects in a city which is inherently about and of water.  This series of drawings and photographs Wet Suite i was begun in Amsterdam in 2004 and completed in London in 2006.  The current series Wet Suite ii 2008-12 features a complementary set of images which feature the River Thames and Regent’s Canal in London.
