Marble dust, mirror, natural light

Installation using mirrors from throughout the College

Trinity College, Cambridge


 The female reflection and portrait had been scarce in the College yet throughout its five hundred year history, the life and influence of women have consistently made their mark.  In this work, I brought together mirrors and frames, property of the College, to consider this visual hiatus.  Representations of College members – the portraits, plaques and statues that fill every space – will leave you wondering, where are the women?
